Cell Block Tango
Performing Cell Block Tango was my young self’s dream coming true. This number of 8 minutes is powerful; and as performer, it requires you to be on the peak of your game. Cell Block Tango involves acting, dancing and singing while delivering emotions and telling a story to the audience.
It was a true pleasure to step into Liz’s role (performed by Susan Misner in the movie) and deliver her monologue “POP”.
“So I came home this one day and I’m really irritated and I'm looking for a little bit of sympathy and there’s Bernie, lying on the couch drinking a beer and chewin. No, not chewing--POPPING”
Zohar has performed the following Musical Theatre numbers:
Time Warp (Rocky Horror) Ensemble dancing
Another Day of Sun (La La Land) Ensemble singing
Mein Herr (Cabaret) Ensemble dancing
Seasons of Love (Rent) Ensemble singing
Live in Living Color (Catch Me if You Can) Ensemble dancing
Hey Big Spender (Sweet Charity) Ensemble singing & dancing
Cell Block Tango (Chicago) Ensemble singing & dancing

Mein Herr - Chair Dance
Ensemble Chair Dance performance choreographed by Sivan Perl for “Can’t Stop the Beat” CET musical theatre production in Zürich, Switzerland. Nightclub performer Sally Bowles, Berlin circa 1931, performs Mein Herr during an early scene in Cabaret, 1972, directed by Bob Fosse. Liza Minelli’s song captures the atmosphere of Berlin, and it was an absolute pleasure to live and dance her lyrics.
